We welcome

Jessica Herrera!

Jessica tells her story. She tells us about her inspiration and vision for her works.

“My books grew out of real moments with my children, especially my son, Caleb. He has ADHD and I began writing stories to help him feel seen, understood, and celebrated for exactly who he is. What started as small bedtime stories has now become a series, Caleb + The Universe, that reaches beyond our family and into the hearts of other children and parents who may be walking a similar path.

My vision is simple: to create books that reflect real children and real experiences. I want kids like Caleb (and Amara, too) to see themselves on the page and know their feelings matter. Their voices are important, and their differences are worth celebrating. These stories remind children that therapy is normal, that family support makes all the difference, and that they are never alone in navigating life’s challenges.

Through my writing, I hope to build a world where every child feels seen, heard, and valued just as they are.” - Jessica Herrera

AND… a little about meeting Ms. Julie…

“I first met Ms. Julie through Amara’s early learning journey at Infants and Toddlers. From the beginning, she has been a source of encouragement and support, and I’m so grateful that our paths crossed.” - Jessica Herrera
